I'm only posting this heading and link because I scrolled through the list, and what should I find but Dan's SUMMER OF NIGHT in the list, from 1991. I would also have included CARRION COMFORT in the list which, despite its science fictional elements, is a very creepy, very scary book.

Okay, I think I just paid for another square foot of tile in your home, Dan. When can I come visit it?

My latest acquisition:

A great pickup. I have copy number 16 on my shelf. Now if they would only do a 30 year anniversary edition of my favorite DS horror novel, CARRION COMFORT!

I wanted to get one of the lettered editions, but they were sold out (and twice as expensive!).

I'm sure CARRION COMFORT is on the radar for a 30th anniversary edition at one of the specialty publishers. And let's hope that someone, somewhere, decides that SUMMER OF NIGHT or CARRION COMFORT should be a series of movies or a TV miniseries. I see that THE TERROR is back on AMC. They did as Dan had suggested they might, and created an anthology series with THE TERROR: INFAMY, set in a Japanese internment camp, with George Takei, as the second season. If it's successful too, then perhaps they'll circle back around to another Simmons property!
